I worked with HeyBroadband in a large variety of roles throughout my summer internship. I worked in sales, monitoring networks, pitching presentations to the CEO and even splicing fibres in the streets.

I enjoyed my time with them and gained a lot of knowledge of how FTTP is playing an essential role in the future of our connected world.

In the time that I spent with them, I also gained relevant experience in what I would then go on to learn about in my final year studies, which gave me a small head start.

I started University in 2018 and at the time I really liked competing in online video games. I struggled to find teammates to create a CS:GO team with so I set out on a mission to create a place for likeminded individuals to come together and find players to create teams with. I did this through creating the Esports Society (Portsmouth Paladins).

Some notable achievements are:

Secure sponsorship from Reign by Novatech. Press Release

Organised our first Freshers Fayre event which gave us traction to become the 3rd largest "non-sporting" society with 300+ members.

Achieved Finals of SouthLANder event where Reign by Novatech provided us with their PC's to take to LAN. Press Release

Other Notable achievements and experiences:

Created a platform for students to come together and compete together against other universities.

Hosted LAN Events in partnership with Reign by Novatech for charity.

Actively delegated with roles across the society, including formed a committee.

Responsible for the testing of pre-released hardware which was protected by an NDA (AMD Ryzen 3000 Series at the time), logged information and statistics for benchmarking and producing footage which were in turn used to advertise their Reign Pre-built PC's.
